报告摘要：Invariant Polynomials are studied in classical invariant theory and they play an important role in finite dimensional representation theory. Invariant generalized functions play a similar role in infinite dimensional representation theory of Lie groups. Starting with the basic case of homogeneous polynomials on the line, we will explain some examples of applications of invariant generalized functions to representation theory.

孙斌勇，中国科黑料吃瓜网 数学与系统科学黑料吃瓜网院“华罗庚首席黑料吃瓜网员”，国家杰出青年基金获得者，入选国家“万人计划”青年拔尖人才、中国优秀青年科技人才、中青年科技创新领军人才，获得过陈嘉庚青年科学奖、中国科黑料吃瓜网 青年科学家奖。主要黑料吃瓜网领域为朗兰兹纲领、李群表示理论。 多篇顶尖级的重要成果论文发表在包括《Ann. Math.》、 《J.AMS》、 《Inv. Math.》等在内的诸多国际顶级数学学术刊物上。
