Exhaustive Families of Representations of C*-algebras and Groupoid C*-algebras

Abstract:
We review the construction of groupoid C*-algebras and basic representation theory
of C*-algebras. Then we introduce the notion of exhaustive families of representations
of C*-algebras defined by Nistor and Prudhon in 2017. Finally, we discuss its appli-
cations to amenability of groupoids (topologically amenable groupoids VS metrically
amenable groupoids), and coarse geometry. It is joint work with Clement Dell'Aiera.
